For more than 140 years, the Oregon State Grange has represented agriculture and family
farmers; direct primaries, initiative, referendum, and women’s right to vote; lobbied for rural
residents on issues of private property, taxation, transportation, utilities and schools; and
offered programs and activities for all family members age 5 and older. In communities
throughout Oregon, the Grange has encouraged youth in FFA, 4-H, scouts and school programs;
participated in state and county fairs, presented scholarships to members and non-members;
raised funds to assist local and national charities; provided meeting space for nonprofits and
hall rentals for dances and community events; and served the community by volunteering
countless hours to complete needed projects.

Meetings are held at the hall the second Wednesday every month at 7:00 pm. There is a
potluck at 6:00 pm during the months of October through May. Anyone is welcome to come
and learn more about the Grange, and hopefully join.

The Grange hosts an annual Founders’ Weekend and Harvest Fair in August and Holiday Bazaar
in the Saturday before Thanksgiving in November and is hoping to add other events. Check the
city calendar and Our Town paper for dates as they change from year to year.
The hall is available for family, community or business events and can seat 100 guests. It has a
well-equipped kitchen, restrooms, main hall and stage. For specifics on rental costs and use
requirements, please contact Shawna Axness at grange938rentals@gmail.com or at
